“MoreMilk2”: More Milk for Lives and Livelihoods in Kenya”

Kenya Dairy Board is thrilled to announce the launch of the "MoreMilk: More Milk for Lives and Livelihoods in Kenya" project at ILRI today!
This is a 200 million shilling initiative funded by Gates Foundation and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. The project will be implemented within 4 years in collaboration with ILRI. The project aims to improve the availability and accessibility of safe, affordable, and quality milk for all.
The 4 year program targets to benefit 450 informal and small business vendors in 3 counties: Nyandarua, Nakuru, and Uasin Gishu through capacity building activities.
The projected outcomes are:
- Improved milk safety standards
- Increased regulatory compliance
- Greater participation of informal businesses in regulated markets
- Enhanced livelihoods and consumer health
This project is in line with our mandate and function of developing the dairy sector, ensuring quality and safety of milk and milk products for consumers and supporting our stakeholders across the DairyValueChain.
